Peninsula Road Bike Routes

MVV Regular Ride Schedule

Monta Vista Velo is a road biking club based in Cupertino, California.

The MVV Tuesday Night Ride (pdf map) leaves Bicycle Outfitter [map] at 6pm every Tuesday from the beginning of daylight savings until 25 September (which has a 7pm sunset). The ride is cut short on account of darkness at the edges of the season so that the ride is back at Bicycle Outfitter by 10 minutes before sunset.

The MVV Thursday Night Ride leaves Bicycle Outfitter at 6pm from May through August. Outside these months, from the beginning of daylight savings and through 25 September, the ride leaves at 5:30pm . The ride goes out Foothill to Alpine, then Alpine to Portola and Sand Hill. When there is more daylight the ride includes Mountain Home and Whiskey Hill (Woodside). This is intended as a fast, no-mercy ride.

MVV has a weekly Saturday ride that starts at 8:30am, usually at Bicycle Outfitter, but sometimes from alternate locations.

All rides start punctually, so please arrive 5 to 10 minutes in advance.
